We're In July

Good morning or afternoon depending on where you rest your head.

I am truly moved by the stories & pictures that have been shared thus far; it is so touching to see that Dom was influenced so many wonderful people. He is a true friend. I also know that the messages of love have helped so many people who are starting to feel that pain of lose, and its these messages that continue to help them keep perspective on the life that Dom lives. We have to take this opportunity to say everything we've always wanted to say to him.

He was moved recently from ICU & back to the beloved 4th Floor. Al, Frankie & the team were all there waiting for him. Its so refreshing to know that there is care for him at such a high level. He is resting peacefully, only a congested chest now, and tries to listen in as Scoob, Jane & Don read over the blog. His doctors all have stopped by with their graceful presence for the family, to ask any final questions & to share their stories of support.

Things I was thinking about that will always remind me of Dom:
1. Del Taco - #4 meal, no lettuce, with 2 extra tacos, 2 red burritos w/o onions (and if he was "hungry" he'd get the fries supreme)
2. Boogie Nights - of course the movie seeing his ideal Marky Mark was in it, but we must've listened to the soundtrack 1000 times. I listened to a couple jams on there last night remembering a time we drove to Cambria and only listen to the duel disc set.
3. Football - the season will be difficult seeing we used to call each other every Fresno St, USC, Notre Dame, Raider, Viking, Cowboy or a game David Carr was in. There were times we'd watch almost the entire half on the phone. Usually the conversation went like this, "who woudl win in a fight; a lineman or a linebacker?" [answer = lineman]
4. Sharkeez - for those of you have experienced you will know why, but this w/o question was his favorite place to have a pitcher & watch sports
5. 40s - Just straight hood; two whiteboys who loved some good Ol'E. We went to one of my fraternity brother's house parties before I moved to Texas & we proceed to play dominos & have 3 40s each...needless to say, we we're obnoxiously silly.
