Afternoon y’all…

It’s the 13th day in Cedars; there have been many supporters & visitors to make the trip in. Some from down the street & some from Bakersfield; highlighted by Nana coming in on Thursday to sit with Dom for a while. I know it means so much to Dom – the fist bumps tell me so.

Last I heard Dom is still in the loving care of the vast medical staff at Cedars; they show their love with X Rays, cat scans, vital checks, dress downs and most recently the application of a feeding tube. Dom hasn’t been able to eat for over a week, and we need to keep those muscles flexed. I know he isn’t close to being ok seeing there was Del Taco AND Smith’s cookies in the room and he didn’t flinch.

A new doctor in the mix, I believe that brings it to 4 chefs in the kitchen, is trying to figure out the infection. The chemo has been put on hold until they can figure out the infection & break the fever. I reported earlier the fever was cracking, but it was over 100 again recently. This seems to be the issue at hand; trying to get that fixed so we can continue to fight the cancer with both barrels. As of now, he is continuing his radiation treatments.

The family is dialed in and someone has been bed side each night. We are trying to get Dominic healthy enough to get into rehab but that seems a little further down the road than first expected. Your continued prayers & support are greatly appreciated.
